The blade is definitely great workmanship. Nice letters of the knifesmith embossed on the right side.
It arrived semi-sharp, but after slight grinding at the 6000 wetstone it got extremely sharp quickly. Now it enters a longer testing to see if it really can hold its edge as long as promoted. So far I’ve been reading it doesn’t alone depend to the steel, but also very much to the skills of the maker. I will need to report at later stage.
The handle is a bit a downside: I know, it’s traditional Wa-Style, but it appears bulky and doesn’t have reduced diameter towards the blade. As a result the knife is rather instable if put flat on a table due to the big step from the blade to the handle.
It comes in a really beautiful red ornamented box.
I like the geometry very much and it keeps sharp very long. Overall it is a very pleasant to use knife.
Not giving full score as my sample had some minor fit and finish problems. Blade and handle are nit perfectly aligned. There was glue on the blade left from production.

This is the second knife I have bought from Musashi. I've owned this one about 3 weeks now and it is "the one" that I was missing from my roll. Great edge, very sharp. I steel both on a regular basis, sharpening only required about once a year, even with daily use.
