Product inspection
After receiving your product, please inspect it carefully to verify:
❖ Whether the product is defective
❖ Whether the product matches your order
Returns and Exchanges for Customer Reasons
Since our products are shipped directly from Japan, and due to sanitary considerations and the nature of our items, we do not accept returns or exchanges for customer preference.
Therefore, returns or exchanges for reasons other than defects or discrepancies in the order are not accepted after delivery.
In Case of Delivery Refusals
If you refuse delivery for personal reasons, you will be responsible for the full shipping costs, including both the initial shipment and the return shipment.
These costs will be calculated based on the package’s size, weight, and destination, and provided to you in advance.
If the refusal is due to an error on our part (e.g., wrong or damaged items), we will cover the shipping costs.
Exchanges
We rigorously inspect every product before shipment. If your product is damaged, defective, or incorrect, please contact us within 7 days of delivery, and we will offer a free exchange.
If the replacement item is out of stock, a refund will be issued.
Returns
Returns or cancellations for personal reasons are generally not accepted once the product has been inspected.
If you wish to cancel for personal reasons, the refund will be subject to deduction of the full shipping costs (both sending and return fees). Refunds will be processed within 1–2 weeks after the returned item is confirmed at our warehouse in Japan.
Product Specific Considerations
Due to the handmade nature of our Japanese knives, slight variations and imperfections may occur. Returns or exchanges will not be accepted for the following conditions:
1. Minor dents in the plastic handle ring or wood caused by repeated assembly.
2. Burn marks on the bottom of the handle resulting from high-temperature processing.
3. Pitting or strong grain patterns causing burn marks on the handle.
4. Holes on the backside of the blade.
5. Scattered marks due to hand engraving.
6. Scorched or cracked surfaces on the top of the handle.
7. Slight differences in the shape and appearance of the handle or scabbard due to variations among craftsmen.
8. Minor misalignments of the blade relative to the handle.
9. Partial erasure of engraving on the back side due to sharpening.
