The Gyuto is an all-purpose knife with a pointed tip and a slender blade. The pointed tip enables an easy targeted cut and helps slice meat and fish. It used to be a knife for professional chefs but nowadays is also used by households. Its curved blade helps you apply force to cut food without effort.

Gingami 3 is categorized to stainless steel for its 13-14.5% Chromium blending ratio. Although it’s a corrosion-resistant stainless steel, actual feel of cutting is closer to the high-end carbon steel, The edge is not slippy but significantly grabbing object fibers.

Another reason why professional chef selects Gingami 3 is a good affinity to whetstones at hand re-sharpening. The combination with the soft stainless SUS405 outer layer provides further easiness to the blade sharpening. Neo-Classic Nashiji finish gives irresistible appeal to the series as well. The combination with the soft stainless SUS405 outer layer provides further easiness to the blade sharpening.

Best Service, Beautiful Knives

I was looking to get some quality knives for family and my boss who love cooking, as new year's gifts and really didn't want to dissapoint them. I wish I can submit pictures but it probably won't do the knives' justice. It comes in it's own box as pictured on the website, inside a card and plastic sleeve to keep it from moving during transport (as the box is universal). Before I ordered I contacted Allen on the contact email about postage times and they've replied in literally 8 hours. I have ordered these on 27/12/21 and 4 days later on 31/12/21 they are here. DHL emailed to confirm that it wouldn't get delivered until 03/01/22, which I thought that was good already. I had to pay customs which was expected but that was separate from Musashi. I can't fault the absolutely top notch service. You can't get something delivered that fast with domestic shops! They really went out of their way and it must have costed more to post on their side. I want to give as much praise and support as possible as I feel that they really care and are proud of their products to provide such fantastic services. I will definitely be ordering something for myself next time. Thank you.

Great knives, even better service

Received knives within 3 days of purchase, shipped to Australia. Blades are fantastic and feel really solid in the hand, cut like a dream. Look forward to using them every chance I get. Lovely little touches in the box with a note and post card. Can definitely recommend

Product Features

Handmade Forging

With the traditional forging process, the molecules of the iron material are finely tuned, leading to the completion of a "living kitchen knife" that breathes.

Durability

The process of heating and forging each material for mold making is repeated three or four times to quickly shape the blade and create durability before the carbon is released from the steel causing it to lose its original strength.

Sharpness

The blade is the most important factor in achieving the best possible sharpness. It is polished in our own blade factory to produce uncompromising sharpness.

Handle

The highest priority is placed on sturdiness, a sense of luxury, and a shape that is easy to grip and does not cause fatigue even after long hours of use.
