I am truly so happy with this knife - everything about it. The blade is super sharp and re-sharpens very easily. It is very balanced in my hand with the weight distribution being well designed. It is my first experience of the traditionally shaped handle and I love it - it feels very present and connected with my hand. And - it is an object of beauty! Lovely company to deal with as well as super fast shipping to New Zealand. Only regret is that I didn't do it years ago.
After a really fast delivery and having read the personalised card, opening the box revealed a truly magnificent piece of craftsmanship. Stunning in every detail with an edge that cuts though the softest of vegetables and meat effortlessly. A beautifully crafted VG10 folded steel knife in the traditional Japanese style. The blade has an ideal bevel so cuts/rocks excellently - combined with the balance it’s a delight to cook with. The pakka handle is easy to clean. Overall a beautiful knife and a pleasure to use.
I am really happy with the knife. Build quality is excellent. The knife feels really good, even in my big hands. I am 192cm tall. Sharpness out of the box was also great and is still very good. This is my first good knife and I just regret not having bought it earlier.
