Road to SHOGUN – Embark on Your Journey with MUSASHI JAPAN

TAIMATSU Co., Ltd.'s Japanese kitchen knife brand, "MUSASHI JAPAN," is running an experiential campaign called "Road to SHOGUN," which involves visiting stores nationwide.

From March 23rd (Monday) to May 31st (Sunday), 2026, participants will visit various stores, aiming to reach the rank of Shogun (Japanese General) from Ronin (masterless samurai), and immerse themselves in the charm of Japanese culture and craftsmanship.

Campaign Overview

"Road to SHOGUN" is an experiential project where participants can advance in rank by visiting MUSASHI JAPAN stores nationwide, receiving unique Japanese benefits according to their rank.

Participants start as Ronin (masterless samurai), progress through the ranks of Ashigaru (foot soldier), Taisho (general), Daimyo (feudal lord), and finally reach Shogun (Japanese General). Each rank offers benefits rooted in Japanese culture, and purchases of 100,000 yen or more at each store will earn participants one of three original picture scrolls.

How to Participate

First, log in to the "Journey Map" online or pick up a pamphlet at any MUSASHI JAPAN store nationwide.

By visiting stores and scanning the QR code inside or recording the number of stores visited in a stamp rally format, each visit is recorded, preparing you to advance to the next rank.

Walking the Path to Mastery - Earning a Symbol of Culture

In "Road to SHOGUN," participants visit MUSASHI JAPAN stores nationwide, receiving rewards symbolizing Japanese culture with each visit. Rewards correspond to the following 5 ranks:

2. Ashigaru (3 stores visited) Tenugui (hand towel)

3. Taisho (6 stores visited) Lantern

4. Daimyo (9 stores visited) Happi & Hat

5. Shogun (13 stores visited) Ukiyo-e (woodblock print)

Furthermore, those who spend over 100,000 yen at each store will receive an original picture scroll (3 types in total) depicting traditional craftsmen and Japanese culture.
